How to install WordPress

All our hosting packages utilise cPanel, an easy to use control panel that allows you to manage your websites with no technical know-how.

Installing WordPress with cPanel is very straight forward, login to cPanel (see our demo here) and scroll to the bottom.

Here you will see a section called Softaculous Apps Installer, WordPress should be the first one in the list, as shown above. After you select WordPress you will be shown a form to fill in.

The most important part of the form is the ‘in directory‘ field highlighted below.

If you would like to install WordPress under your home directory i.e. example.com/ then leave his field blank. If you wanted to install it under a directory i.e. example/blog/ than change the field to ‘blog’. Leaving this blank is the most common option.

Continue with the form, filling in your WordPress website name and login details and hit install.

You are done! your new WordPress blog will be automatically installed. If you require any support please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us, even if you are not an existing customer. Our team of experts are always happy to help.
