Process & Migration

How Onboarding Works at G7Cloud

A clear, engineer-led process designed to move your site safely, with no downtime and no guesswork.

Email Is a Supporting Service, Not the Platform

G7Cloud focuses on building high-performance WordPress hosting platforms. Email is available for customers who want a simple, integrated solution, but it isn’t the core of what we do.

Step 1: We Review Your Site
What happens:
You tell us about your site and traffic
We review hosting, setup, plugins, and traffic patterns
Why this matters: This allows us to plan the migration properly and avoid surprises.
1
Step 2: We Prepare Your Platform
What happens:
Your environment is provisioned
Performance, security and caching are configured
Staging or test environment is created if needed
Key reassurance: Nothing touches your live site at this stage.
2
Step 3: We Migrate Your Site
What happens:
Files and database are copied
URLs, paths and configuration are validated
WooCommerce orders and customer data are handled carefully
Important: Your existing site stays live during this process.
3
Step 4: Testing & Verification
What happens:
Pages, forms and logins are tested
WooCommerce checkout (if applicable) is verified
Performance and security checks are completed
Key reassurance: We don’t go live until everything checks out.
4
Step 5: Go Live (Zero Downtime)
What happens:
DNS is updated or traffic is switched
Visitors are routed through the G7 Acceleration Network
Live monitoring begins immediately
Important: Most migrations complete with no visible downtime.
5
Step 6: Post-Launch Monitoring
What happens:
We monitor traffic and performance
Any edge cases are handled proactively
You have direct access to support if needed
Key reassurance: We stay involved after launch, not just during it.
