What are AI tokens?
Tokens are the units AI models use to read and write text: one token is roughly three-quarters of a word. Every instruction you give the builder, and everything it writes back (copy, code, edits), consumes tokens. Each plan has a monthly allowance, from 250K on Free to 6M on Agency, shared across all your workspaces and reset at the start of each billing month. Need more? Add a recurring AI Builder Boost (+500K a month for £5), or buy a one-time top-up from your dashboard: 500K for £7, 1.5M for £18, 5M for £50, used before your monthly allowance and valid for 90 days.
Everything you and the builder exchange counts: your instructions, the code it writes, the copy it drafts. Big requests cost more than small tweaks, so an allowance lasts longest when your instructions are specific and focused.
Your allowance belongs to your account and is shared across all your workspaces. If you hit the ceiling, see what happens when tokens run out: nothing breaks and nothing is charged automatically.

What happens when I run out of AI tokens?
Nothing breaks and nothing is charged behind your back: your published sites stay live and editable by hand. AI work pauses until your allowance resets at the start of the next billing month, or you top up: a one-time pack (500K for £7, 1.5M for £18, 5M for £50) or a recurring AI Builder Boost at £5 a month for an extra 500K.
Full answerWhat can the AI Website Builder actually build?
Full-stack applications with their own database and admin panel. Blueprints include an online shop, bookings, CMS/blog, real estate, restaurant, events and fully custom builds, plus static brochure sites. A builder-made shop comes with product variants, stock control, collections, discount codes, order management, image uploads and Stripe checkout using your own Stripe keys, backed by its own Postgres database and an admin panel you log into.
Full answerDo I own the code the AI writes?
Yes. You can inspect everything in the built-in code browser, undo any change with per-turn checkpoints, and export the code. There is also visual click-to-edit and brand-kit import from an existing site. Take the code with you whenever you like.
Full answerWhere do builder sites get published?
Every plan, including Free, can publish to a free yoursite.sites.g7cloud.com subdomain with SSL. From Starter up you can publish on your own custom domain. Published builder sites have their own publish allowance and do not use up your hosted site slots.
