A decade of UK hosting since 2017

Why G7Cloud?

For UK small businesses, agencies and developers, G7Cloud pairs an AI website builder that produces database-backed sites with managed UK hosting that runs them, each in its own container, at a fixed monthly price. You own the code, you own the data, and you know the bill before you sign up.

Six differences that matter

What's actually different here

Each one is a design decision, not a slogan, and each one links to the page that explains it.

Fixed pricing. Full stop.

Your plan price in GBP is the whole bill: the same amount whether you get 100 visitors a month or 100,000, so a busy day costs you nothing extra.

A dedicated container per site

Every site runs in its own isolated container with its own database: nothing shared with other customers. A noisy neighbour cannot slow you down, because you don't have neighbours inside your container.

How the platform is built

Our own UK platform, built and run in-house

We built and operate our own UK infrastructure: the hosting system, the security layer, the databases, the mail platform. When something breaks, we fix it in our own system, usually the same day.

UK infrastructure

The AI Website Builder is on every plan

Not a paid add-on. Every plan, including Free, includes the AI Website Builder, which builds database-backed apps: shops with Stripe checkout, bookings and CMS sites. You own the code and can export it.

A UK team that does migrations with you

Built and run by engineers in the UK. Migrations are free and assisted: we do the move with you, you preview the result, and nothing cuts over until you approve it.

Every claim backed by the code

Every claim on this site is backed by something in the platform: a mechanism, a named feature, or a number you can check. If we can't point to it in our own system, it stays off the website.

Read what's not included

You always know what you'll pay

What you actually pay comes down to how you're charged, not the feature list. Our price is a fixed amount in GBP. Competitor prices below are approximate.

Metered visits

e.g. WP Engine (from about $20/mo with annual billing)

Your plan caps monthly visits; sustained growth pushes you into a higher tier.

The G7Cloud model

No visit metering. Traffic to your site never changes your bill.

Usage-based billing

e.g. Vercel Pro (around $20/user/mo plus usage)

A viral day can turn into an invoice you didn't budget for. Bandwidth and function usage are billed after the fact.

The G7Cloud model

Fixed GBP price. You know your annual hosting cost to the penny in January.

Rented builder

e.g. Wix Core around £16/mo, Shopify Basic around £25/mo plus transaction fees

Your site lives inside their builder. Leave, and you leave the site behind.

The G7Cloud model

The AI Website Builder produces code you own and can export in full. It's included on every plan.

Managed hosting premium

e.g. Kinsta from around $35/mo

Managed WordPress quality, priced per site, in USD, on rented hyperscaler capacity.

The G7Cloud model

Managed hosting from £12/mo on our own UK platform. Business runs 3 sites for £24/mo.

Claims you can check

Every claim here comes with proof

Every claim on this site carries something you can check: a mechanism, a named feature, or a number. Where we quote uptime, we say how we measure it, and the things we don't do are listed on the pricing page.

We're a UK team, and the engineering underneath is specific enough to stand on its own. We've hosted UK WordPress sites since 2017: a decade of running production hosting.

What every plan is backed by

  • · 99.99% uptime, the figure we commit to on every plan
  • · Fixed GBP pricing: the signup price is the renewal price
  • · Certifications listed only where we actually hold them
  • · UK support from the team that builds and runs the platform

Things we can prove

The questions people actually ask

Straight answers on pricing, uptime, support and your exit.

Are you just reselling AWS or another cloud?

No. G7Cloud runs on privately-operated UK infrastructure that we built and run ourselves: the hosting system, the ScaleShield security layer, the databases and the mail platform. That's why we can charge fixed GBP prices: we're not passing through a hyperscaler's usage bill.

Will my bill ever change because of traffic?

No. There is no visit metering and no usage billing on any plan. The price of your plan is the price you pay, whatever your traffic does.

Do you offer an uptime SLA?

We commit to 99.99% uptime, backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee rather than a service-credit scheme. You also get independent per-minute monitoring on your own sites with alerts you set, a public status page, and an architecture where your site keeps serving even if our control system goes down.

Who actually answers support?

The UK-based team that builds and operates the platform. We don't promise 24/7 coverage or 15-minute response times, because a small team can't guarantee them. The person who replies can actually fix your problem, because they have root on the system.

Isn't a smaller host riskier than a big brand?

Judge the engineering, not the logo. Every backup is restore-tested nightly on a separate test server. We keep a live standby copy of every database on a second machine. Your site keeps serving through outages of our control system. You can push backup copies to your own S3/R2/SFTP storage, and builder projects export their code. Your exit is always open, so you stay because it works.

What does "we publish what's not included" mean?

Our pricing page lists the things we don't do (no certifications we haven't earned, no service-credit fine print) alongside what we do. Every claim on the site is backed by the platform's actual code.

Try the platform, not the pitch

The Free plan gives you the AI Website Builder and a published site with no card and no time limit. If you like how we build, hosting starts at £12/month, fixed.
