How long has G7Cloud been hosting websites?
We have hosted UK websites since 2017: about a decade of running production WordPress, ecommerce and application hosting. The infrastructure, the platform and the support inbox are all run by the same UK team.
A decade of running production sites is why the platform defaults are what they are: backups are restore-tested nightly, monitoring checks every site every minute, and each site runs in its own container so one site's bad day cannot become its neighbour's.
You can see how the platform is doing right now on the status page, where incidents are published live.

Do you guarantee uptime?
We commit to 99.99% uptime, backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee rather than a service-credit scheme. You also get per-minute uptime monitoring with email, webhook and Slack alerts sent to you as well as us, a live standby copy of your database on a second machine, and an architecture where your site keeps serving even if our control system goes down.
Full answerWhat is G7Cloud?
G7Cloud is a UK platform that does two things. First, an AI Website Builder that ships database-backed websites: online shops, bookings and admin panels, each backed by its own database. Second, managed hosting that runs WordPress, WooCommerce, Magento, Ghost, custom PHP and git-deployed apps in 14 frameworks. Every site runs in its own dedicated container at a fixed monthly price in GBP.
Full answerHow is G7Cloud different from other hosting providers?
Two ways. The model: one price ladder covers everything (Free (£0), Starter (£12/mo), Business (£24/mo), Pro (£59/mo), Studio (£99/mo), Agency (£179/mo), Solo (£29/mo), Solo Plus (£59/mo), Solo HA (£99/mo)) for a flat monthly fee, whatever your traffic and however many people are on your team. The price you pick is the price Stripe charges. And the builder: every plan includes the AI Website Builder, which produces full-stack apps with their own database and admin panel. You own the code and can export it.
Full answerWhere is your infrastructure?
Our infrastructure is UK-based, and so is the team that builds and runs it. When you open a support ticket, it is answered by the engineers who built and run the platform.
