Will my site go down during migration?
Your current site stays live on your existing host throughout. We build and test the copy on G7Cloud first; the DNS switch happens only after you have previewed the migrated site and given the go-ahead.
DNS is the only switch, and it comes last. Because the copy is already built and verified on our side, cutover is a change of address, not a rebuild.
If you are moving email to us as well, mailbox cutover is planned the same way: MX records only switch once the new mailboxes are ready. See email migration.
